I hope you all enjoyed your three day weekend! We have a busy, busy week ahead of us in room 431! We're going to be studying the letters Mm & Ss and their sounds. We'll do tons of fun activities to help reinforce learning the letters and their sounds. Sight word baggies will be coming home this week! I will add a new sight word every week as we learn them. Please review these daily until your child knows the words by heart. We will be celebrating the letter "S" by wearing silly socks on Thursday, September 9th! I can't wait to see your silly socks, but remember we're still going to P.E., so please wear your tennis shoes. Friday, September 10th Mrs. Wilkinson's Bookworm Investigators will be walking over to the Middle School for our Reading Celebration Kickoff! It should be a great time!
Just a couple of reminders...We love our parent volunteers! So, if you'd like to become a parent volunteer, please remember to return your application with a copy of your driver's license. I have attached the parent volunteer application form to the bottom of our website for your convenience. Also, September is approaching so I hope you can attend the very first Buffalo PRIDE meeting on Tuesday September 7th 6-7:00 p.m. at The Villages Charter School Middle School(VCMS) gym. Remember these meetings are a great way to keep informed about what's happening in your child's school and earn informational PI hours.
